FATIQUE AND IRON DEFIENCY
Anemia occurs when the body has a
decreased level of hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Hemoglobin is the protein
in your red blood cells that is responsible
for carrying oxygen to the tissues.
Iron deficiency is the most common type of anemia, and it occurs when the body
doesn't have enough mineral iron. The
body needs iron to make hemoglobin. When there isn't enough iron in the blood stream, the rest of the body can't get the amount of oxygen it needs.
Women of childbearing age, have the
most common cause of iron deficiency
anemia due to heavy menstruation or pregnancy. The treatment is supplements
or change of diet.
